The 43 Trees Project

Sam, Tall and Stately

Same of 43 Trees

Sam, the tall stately sentinel, stood for nearly seventy years until strong winds tragically laid him to rest. Sam will be remembered for the birds that called him home and the shelter he offered. From the many who sought his shade from the warm summer sun, to the wind that whistled a song through his branches. The snow that rested upon his limbs and the rain that soaked his thirsty veins. From the cicadas sounding their chorus of summer to the cardinals that chirped winter’s call. Sam’s passing reminds us that life is sacred, life is short and without his presence... less abundant.
