, Backwards Into Gaia
September 2003 |
 |
No longer shaking hands with windy days,
Even haired and well bearded with seasoned leaves
Sharing the shade of peers,
Telling tales of whispering woods
Mother Earth breathing through branches,
Stretching up skyward from the forest floor
Larger than life is soft spoken in fallen glory,
Demure and graceful with Green Man presence
Lifetimes experienced
Now resting to the sound of silent dawn,
with crumbling limbs of fingers
Browning whiskers of leaflets,
Drying out last breaths
While starting new life,
Backwards into Gaia...
